People Meter: TV set measurement
The Kantar Media People Meter 7 includes a personalised user interface to increase engagement and enhance panel management and is used in countries around the world including the UK, Netherlands, Turkey, Chile and Israel.
Since we revolutionised audience measurement with the invention of the original People Meter, our technology has been deployed in more markets than any other provider. Each day, we process data from 85,000 people meters across 53,000 homes around the world.
Focal Meter: Online viewing measurement
Kantar Media’s Focal Meter is the most widely used router meter globally, with deployments and live services in 12 countries already measuring over 91,000 screens.
It tracks and measures all tagged viewing activity across the home network and can also monitor audio, display and wider internet activity, offering cross-media capabilities. Once tagged, viewing on personal devices such as smartphones and tablets is measured both in and out of home.
Content detection & tagging
Kantar Media provides the most advanced content and advertising detection engineering technologies.
Our I33 audio-matching and SNAP and INK watermarking systems capture all viewing across screens with high granularity. Around the world, 5,600+ channels are being audio-matched and 2,200+ watermarked, with over 1,000 new VOD assets added each day.
Tagging allows us to understand impressions and duration for video content and ads. We take an agnostic approach, and our systems are compatible with all tags across all major platforms and providers.
